Phase 2 Heating System
During Phase 1 a new heating system has been installed consisting of new gas fired boiler plant, buffer vessels and system pumps, the system has been design installed for operation as a Bi-Valent system subject to funding, with the introduction of Air Source Heat Pumps to be installed in Phase 2 and connected to infrastructure pipe work and associated valves and controls installed in Phase 1. A new BEMS control system has been installed in Phase 1.
Quotations are invited to carry out the following.
Supply and Install 2 No Mitsubishi CAHV-P500YB HPB complete with Remote Controller, CAHV Header pipe thermistor and MelcoBEMS Mini interface or equivalent
Install ASHP’s onto base supplied and installed by others in the location detailed on the location
drawing (can be supplied on request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org)
Connect 54mm F&R pipe work from the each ASHP to 63mm Pre-Insulated Rehau pipe work at LL
adjacent each ASHP, the pre-insulated pipe will be installed by others in an earlier phase, and shall
be left with a 2’’ connection for extension, the pipe work will be pressure tested to 3 bar by others
prior to Phase 2 works.
Pipe work shall be insulated with Phenolic Foam with a 35mm minimum wall thickness with
The contractor shall allow checking existing water treatment and dose as necessary with a suitable
inhibitor/anti freeze concentration as approved by use by the manufacturer of the various system
components, to a suitable dosing level to provide adequate protection.
The contractor shall employ the Phase 1 BEMS specialist to integrate the ASHP’s control Interface
and carry out software adjustments as necessary

The Installation must be fully compliant with the requirements of the MCS Scheme.
A suitable power supply shall be installed in Phase 1, the contractor shall allow to connect the ASHP’s from a local isolator installed adjacent the ASHP’s
ASHP’s shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturers.
The ASHP’s shall be commissioned by the manufacturer
