Low Carbon Calendar of Innovation - Workshop 2

Low Carbon Solent is hosting a calendar of workshops designed to support SMEs to launch their low carbon, sustainable products, continuing with workshop number two; 'Launching a successful low carbon product to market' hosted by Clive Bonny of Strategic Management Partners.

This interactive and in-person workshop will cover 8 key areas of launching a successful sustainable and/or low-carbon product to market:

  1. Business Continuity Plan,

  2. Risk Management,

  3. Intellectual Property gap analysis/Trademark search/Design registrations,

  4. Strategic partnerships,

  5. How to meet UK ESG standards aligned to the UK Social Value Act 2021 in line with UN Compact

  6. Goals for environmental and social value across multiple sector supply chains,

  7. Marketing/Commercialisation,

  8. Tax credits,

  9. Low carbon product development

    Agenda:

    Enable client enterprises to successfully develop commercialisation plans for low-carbon innovation products and services.

    Content will include how to create and understand the following topics:

    1. Innovation Canvas,

    2. Business Model Canvas,

    3. Business Continuity Plan,

    4. Risk Management,

    5. Intellectual Property gap analysis,

    6. Trademark search and design registrations,

    7. Strategic partnerships,

    8. Funding options of grants loans and equity investment,

    9. Preparation targeted to social impact investors, and

    10. How to meet UK ESG standards aligned to the UK Social Value Act 2021 in line with UN Compact Goals for environmental and social value across multiple sector supply chains.

    Who should attend?

    These workshops are free for members of the Low Carbon Solent Project, who are currently developing Clean Growth innovations that will have a positive impact on the environment and future societies. Any businesses that meet the EU definition of an SME are welcome to register their interest in these events.

    **Important** - please note: a short online application form will need to be completed by non-programme members following registration in order to confirm eligibilty to attend these workshops.

    Workshop Two - Clive Bonny:

    Since 1990 Clive has worked as a strategic management partner, management mentor, and coach in association with national business support enterprises delivering government-funded advice to SME’s, and building capacity for high growth and job creation. His work has focused on capacity building, profitable growth, and job creation for SME’s and start-ups. His scope of work involves designing and delivering skills workshops and coaching on supply chain development, procurement bidding, Innovation, and IP protection, HR productivity, quality process improvement, VCSE investment funding and risk management, alternative finance and crowdfunding, international business development, and low-carbon innovations.

    Client projects have created high profits, boosted revenue growth, and created jobs through a wide portfolio of support activities. Clive’s assignments have improved corporate partnering, marketing, sales, and HR services. He has worked across the EU, Africa, the USA, the Middle East, and Asia. His sector experience includes public, private, and professional services, finance, IT, health, manufacturing, engineering, retail, leisure, construction, transport, and new media.

    Clive facilitated workshops for over 500 entrepreneurs at the 2022 Enterprise Nation UK conference presenting on growth topics and leading skill share discussions on funding for start-ups and ESG Environmental Social Governance standards.

    Clive's active engagement with professional institutes and trade bodies across the UK and abroad enables him to develop skill-sharing partnerships for clients and accelerate SME growth
