Dr John Richardson
Programme Leader - Executive MBA and Director - Centre of Enterprise, Design and Innovation - Low Carbon Solent Project Representative at the University of Winchester
Dr John Richardson is a Senior Lecturer in Innovation Management and an experienced Innovation Advisor/Consultant with a passion for Knowledge Transfer between universities and business. He has an MBA (Distinction) from Southampton University and a PhD in Computer Modelling (Fluid Dynamics).
Matt Pullinger
Programme Manager: EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions & Low Carbon Solent
Matt first joined the team during his year in placement at the University of Portsmouth and has since graduated with a degree in Financial Management. His final year at University was spent researching the barriers that businesses face to decarbonise, and is now intending to use that knowledge whilst working with SMEs to reduce their operational carbon footprint, and develop low carbon innovations whilst heading up the business engagement for both the ERDF projects currently available through Greentech South.
Keiron Roberts
Research Fellow in Low Carbon Technologies
Keiron is an experienced researcher in a range of low carbon technologies, policies and practices. These are mainly within the area of sustainable infrastructure; focusing primarily on solid waste management, wastewater treatment processes and the adoption of zero-waste and circular economy practices.
Todor Yordanov
Innovation Assistant
As a Business Management and Entrepreneurship student, Todor works on the Low Carbon Solent project at Greentech South. Todor supports SMEs in achieving grant funding and gaining access to post-graduate projects. He is passionate about innovation and sustainability and hopes to help many businesses achieve their goals before returning to the University of Portsmouth to complete his studies in 2022.
Hanna Alemayehu
Innovation Assistant
Hanna studies Law with Business at the University of Portsmouth and currently undertaking a placement year at Greentech South as an innovation assistant on the EMphasis3 project. She is the business engagement contact responsible for SME engagement and supporting them to get energy efficiency audits as well as grant funding. Hanna will be returning to the University of Portsmouth to complete the final year of her studies in 2022.
Olivia Jeffries
Social Media & Communications Officer
Olivia is currently studying Marketing at the University of Portsmouth and is taking her placement year at Greentech South as Social Media & Communications Officer. Olivia maintains Greentech South’s online presence by promoting events through their social media and website. She also creates newsletters and liaises with industrial partners.
Erin Beetlestone
ERDF Communications Project Officer
Erin is responsible for maintaining and advertising content for Greentech South’s social platforms. A few responsibilities consist of promoting and attending events, managing analytics and designing and editing visuals. She is a graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a First Class Honours degree in Photography.
Domenico Bochicchio
Accounting Technician
Domenico is a Team Member of the Finance Department of the University of Portsmouth. He has more than 10 years of experience working with EU funded projects, such as Erasmus+. Within his current role, he joined the Greentech South providing financial and administrative support and advice related to ERDF and ESF programmes.
Ali Penny
Low Carbon Solent Project Administrator
Ali has seven years of experience working with Higher Education Institutions and joined the Greentech South team in 2021 to provide support for the ERDF Low Carbon Solent project, with a focus on processing SME applications, State Aid offers, and providing general administrative support. With a passion for clean growth, Ali aims to progress her work in this sector whilst also continuing her part-time role as a psychotherapist.
