Meet the marketing review service team

Erin Leahy - Social Media and Communications Officer

Erin is a Digital Marketing student at the University of Portsmouth, and is currently on a one-year placement at Greentech South. Erin has experience in all aspects of marketing including social media, content creation, email marketing, website development, amongst others. During University, Erin has worked with various clients including The Final Straw Solent, Sporting Difference, Cirque Fitness, and Runr. 

At Greentech South, Erin currently manages the email marketing, the website, events, and this new marketing service, and previously managed the social channels.

Erin’s top tip: Remember marketing isn’t just about generating sales or leads. It’s also about establishing a solid brand image in your target audience's mind. Think about the associations you make when you hear the name of other brands. Now think of what you’d like other people to think of when they hear your brand name. Use your marketing as a tool to achieve these desired associations.

 

Chloe Hart - Bid and Programme Manager

Chloe has been supporting Greentech South members in accessing funding and support to commercialise their products and services for over two years. As a bid writer, she strongly believes in the importance of paying close attention to detail where marketing resources and collateral are concerned! Chloe is also responsible for coordinating marketing and communications for two European Regional Development Funded projects. 

Before joining the Greentech South team, Chloe was an Associate Specialist in Marketing Support for an EMEA Sales and Bid Team in the financial services sector and she has substantial experience in working on large, international bids and pitches. She has an MSc in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Southampton.

Chloe’s top tip: If you're not using your social media accounts then delete them, a dormant social media account can be off putting/a red flag to potential customers and investors!"

 

Alice Fisher - Social Media and Communications Assistant

Alice Fisher, Marketing Manager at Greentech South: Alice has been supporting Greentech South for over a year now, promoting the work we do through our social media platforms. Alice started with Greentech South as a 'Social Media Assistant' on a placement year from the University of Portsmouth and played an important role in the launches of our two ERDF projects, Low Carbon Solent and EMphasis3 CO2 Reductions Project. Having returned to her final year studies in October 2020, Alice currently works on a part-time basis overseeing all marketing activity and supporting where possible. 

She strongly believes in the importance of strong, creative and engaging marketing content especially in those just starting out!

Alice’s top tip: Share your journey with the world, the most engaging content shows the journey you have taken to get to where you are now, including the highs and the lows, it is what makes us human!

 

James Arber - Business and Innovation Advisor 

James Arber, Business Innovation Advisor: James is currently on a one-year placement from the University of Portsmouth. James is studying BA(Hons) Marketing and is looking to move into Client Services once he finishes University in 2022. As an Innovation Advisor, James frequently works with Greentech South’s Clients and helps them through our Low Carbon Solent Project to help them achieve their clean growth objectives, he also works with the marketing team at Greentech South. James believes that a business should focus heavily on their brand image and reinforce it with engaging content.

James’ top tip: always try to take an outside perspective with your marketing and ask yourself "is this engaging to my target audience?"
