Low Carbon Solent is hosting a calendar of workshops designed to support SMEs to launch their low-carbon, sustainable products, beginning with workshop number one: 'Key elements to build a profitable low carbon business’ delivered by Monika Dabrowska of Innovaction Global.

Got a new business idea, but don’t know how to put it to work? Want to improve your existing business model? Overwhelmed by writing your business plan?

Monika will break down what makes a business successful and look at the practical steps you can take to track and plan for growth and greater success.

  • What funding is available?

You will leave the workshop with a practical knowledge of using the Business Model Canvas and an understanding of which components of business success you need to focus on.

This interactive and in-person workshop consists of:

Part A - Purpose: Understand the main elements to start and run a profitable low carbon business.

Part B - Purpose: Focus on nine segments when running an innovation project including customers, route to market, value proposition, and finance.

Who should attend?

These workshops are free for members of the Low Carbon Solent Project, who are currently developing Clean Growth innovations that will have a positive impact on the environment and future societies. Any businesses that meet the EU definition of an SME are welcome to register their interest in these events.

**Important** - please note: a short online application form will need to be completed by non-programme members following registration in order to confirm eligibility to attend these workshops.

There will be an opportunity to book up to 3 hours of one-to-one support from the presenter to discuss any of the points raised during the workshop - more info will be shared during the event.

An introduction to our speakers

Monika Dabrowska

The workshop will be provided by Monika Dabrowska, the Founder & Director of Innovaction Global, an innovation consulting company that helps organisations improve performance and achieve their goals and vision by raising grants and managing R&D funded projects. She is also a Monitoring Service Provider at Innovate UK.

Monika has 13 years of experience in obtaining EU and UK funding and providing management for R&D and investment projects to public and private organisations. Working with maritime, healthcare, energy, and IT companies, she is adding value to teams looking for intelligent, insightful information.

With extensive knowledge of innovative technologies across different sectors, Monika supported over 350 companies in the strategic management, business model, investment readiness, international market strategy, access to finance, assessment, and implementation of small and large-scale innovative projects.
